About the Guest

Nancy Carman is a Gerontologist who received her master’s degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida and is a certified Geriatric Care Manager. Nancy brings to SeniorWise Care Management her expertise in managing a South Jersey hospital-based geriatric care management program and 25 years of experience in the field of aging.
Prior to working with SeniorWise Care Management, Nancy was part of the New Life Management and Development, Inc. consulting team working with various continuing care retirement communities throughout the country. Nancy’s wealth of experience also includes senior focus group and support group work, successful grant writing, the development of age-sensitivity training programs and consulting in the senior housing industry. She is a frequent speaker at state, national and international conferences addressing topics related to successful aging.
Nancy is the co-editor and contributing author of the recently published book Re-creating Neighborhoods for Successful Aging. In the past, Nancy wrote a monthly caregiver column, “Aging Well” for the Courier Post newspaper with a circulation throughout Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. Previously Nancy served as a Board Member for the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for more than six years.
