Rabbi Address Appears in ‘Caregiving NOW!’ Webinar for UPenn’s New Courtland Center for Transitions and Health

Rabbi Address was a guest speaker during a recent webinar series, “Caregiving Now!” for the New Courtland Center for Transitions and Health at the University of Pennsylvania. Several additional webinars are scheduled in the series. More information is available on the New Courtland Center website.

Rabbi Richard Address and Reverend Tyrone Pitts discuss the spiritual dimension of caregiving, faith-based community programs they have led to support caregivers, and how culture and religion affected the design and implementation of such programs.

The human and economic consequences of caregiving negatively affect virtually every sector of society. One in five Americans provide support to spouses, aging parents, and children with serious health problems or disabilities. Caregiving NOW is designed to address the immediate and growing need for action to improve caregiving in the U.S. An essential component to the plan is the meaningful engagement and partnership with caregivers, scholars, community leaders, employers, policy makers and others.
