About Rabbi Kasdan
Rabbi Peter Kasdan currently serves on the Bioethics Committee of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital, is the Rabbinic Advisor to both the Canavan Foundation and the Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium and is the current Chair of The Central Conference of American Rabbi’s Taskforce on Jewish Genetic Disease. Rabbi Kasdan has received many awards in his rabbinate, but is most proud of his NFTY Life Membership Award, the Distinguished Service Award of the UAHC Fund For Reform Judaism, the CCAR’s 2007 Rabbi Samuel Cook Award for Lifetime Service in Youth Work and Temple Emanu-El’s 2001 Shofar Award for his life-long work in the area of Social Justice and Tikkun Olam.
