On this week’s episode of the Seekers of Meaning TV Show and Podcast, Rabbi Address speaks with Rabbi Mendel Moskovitz, rabbi of the Kharkhiv Choral Synagogue in eastern Ukraine, who fled the Russian invasion of Ukraine with his family, and now residing in Israel, acts as an ambassador for the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine (jrnu.org), raising funds for relief and rescue efforts focused on the Ukrainian Jewish community.

Rabbi Mendel Moskovitz

Rabbi Mendel Moskovitz was born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Kharkiv, Ukraine. At the age of 6 months, Rabbi Moskovitz moved with his parents to serve as Chabad emissaries and rebuild Jewish life in Kharkiv, following the fall of Communism.

After studying abroad for 10 years in Yeshiva and graduating Rabbinical school in Sydney, Australia, Rabbi Moskovitz returned with his wife, Chani, to Kharkiv. There he raised three children, and served as a Rabbi to Ukrainian youth for 7 years, until the onset of the current war in Ukraine.  Rabbi Moskovitz additionally is a certified life coach, and founded the “Chasidic Holistic Programming” methodology for personal growth.

Following his dramatic escape from Ukraine from bomb ravaged Kkarkiv, Rabbi Moskovitz has motivated and inspired many, with over 50 speeches delivered worldwide.

Rabbi Moskovitz is now serving as an ambassador to Jewish Relief Network of Ukraine.
