Sara Zeff Geber, Ph.D.

Sara Zeff Geber, Ph.D., is the nation’s foremost expert on Solo Aging.  She is an author, professional speaker, and retirement coach. Sara was named an “Influencer in Aging” by PBS’ Next Avenue and is a regular contributor to Forbes.com in the areas of aging and retirement.

Sara’s book, Essential Retirement Planning for Solo Agers: A Retirement and Aging Roadmap for Single and Child-free Adults, was published in 2018, and was selected as a ‘best book on aging well’ by the WSJ. Sara is also a Fellow with Nexus Insights, a think tank advancing the well-being of older adults through innovative housing and healthcare.

Sara is active in the American Society on Aging (ASA), the Life Planning Network, and the Encore Network. She frequently speaks about Solo Aging and senior living at national and local conferences and meetings.

  1. Thank you for focusing on solo aging and from a Jewish point of view. Dr Zeff Geber is a definitive voice in this area and all solo agers would be wise to prepare wisely as she advises. We need to hear more about the critical need for strong community when there is an absence of biological family.
